Dear UNT faculty and staff,
As a member of the UNT family, you share the responsibility of ensuring that UNT conducts all business in an ethical and honest manner. As highlighted in UNT's ethics policy, we are committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in all we do. To support this commitment, we have established the UNT Trust Line, a telephone and web-based reporting system that provides a way to report concerns of unethical or illegal misconduct.
The UNT UNT Trust Line is operated 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by EthicsPoint, an independent third party vendor. All actionable reports submitted through the UNT Trust Line will be reviewed by the UNT Office of University Compliance and Ethics and investigated by the appropriate office.

If you have factual information suggestive of fraudulent, wasteful or abusive activities involving any university member, employee, student or other affiliate, we want you to report it. Examples of reportable issues include fraud, theft, misuse of university resources or information, violations of safety rules or environmental laws, conflicts of interest, NCAA violations or discrimination.
Should you have concerns, we encourage you to first discuss the issue with your supervisor or manager. If you do not feel comfortable discussing concerns directly with your supervisor, you can make a report through the UNT Trust Line. It is important to me that you know retaliatory action will never be taken toward any person who, in good faith, reports, seeks guidance regarding compliance concerns, or participates in a compliance-related investigation.
UNT is committed to cultivating an atmosphere where open, honest communication is the expectation, voicing your concerns is encouraged, and guidance related to policies and procedures is obtainable. The UNT Trust Line is available for all of us, to ensure that UNT continues to operate under the highest ethical standards and to help the university continue to soar higher. If you have questions, contact the Office of University Compliance and Ethics at compliance@unt.edu or 940-565-4142.
Thank you for all you do to help UNT evolve and remain a place our students are proud to call home.
UNT Proud,
Neal Smatresk
