Dear UNT faculty and staff,
You played a huge part in UNT's reaffirmation as a Tier One research university. In appreciation of your contributions, UNT will close at noon Friday, April 19. I appreciate your continued commitment to the institution and your unwavering dedication. Thank you for all your hard work and the efforts that helped us secure continued status as a Tier One research university.
Instructions regarding how to record the closure hours are detailed online by Payroll Time & Labor.
Thank you for all you do to help students succeed and soar higher.
UNT Proud,
Neal Smatresk
UNT President
Please note:
• All in-person classes scheduled for noon and later will be cancelled. However, UNT's online classes through Canvas are unaffected by the closure.
• All offices will close at noon for the remainder of the day. Only those employees who have been identified by their supervisors as essential personnel are requested to report to work or remain at work. As is usual during closures, the UNT Willis Library building will remain open for use by students and researchers, and the UNT Health Center, Pohl Recreation Center and parts of the University Union also will be open for usual operating hours with reduced staffing.
