Dear UNT Community,

Our COVID-19 testing and safety guidelines are having a positive impact and are allowing our campus to remain open. Community members must continue to wear a mask, stay at least 6 feet away from others, avoid crowds and wash their hands often.

Students, faculty and staff also are strongly encouraged to get a COVID-19 test before returning to campus - or as soon as possible after returning. Faculty and staff should consider getting tested every 2-3 weeks. To help make this a convenient process, UNT is continuing to provide testing options for our community members.

Curative, Inc. - NEW Provider and Testing Locations

Starting Jan. 28 in the University Union and Feb. 2 in Gateway, faculty, staff and students have a new option for free COVID-19 testing through Curative, Inc. The testing will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday - Saturday in the University Union, Room 381, and Monday - Friday in the Gateway Center, Room 52. To sign up for the free testing, visit cur.tv/UNTunion or cur.tv/UNTgateway.

Gogettested.com

To register for testing administered daily by WellHealth at the Union Circle Garage, visit gogettested.com and follow the “Book Now" link on the map's Denton location (labeled "Denton - UNT Union Circle Garage - Texas Emergency Management"). Include the group code "UNT" so positive test results can be sent directly to UNT's COVID response team. The WellHealth testing, available for no individual out-of-pocket cost, is offered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays, except on holidays.

Student Health and Wellness Center

The Student Health and Wellness Center offers students a rapid test for COVID-19. Students can access testing through a clinical appointment, asymptomatic testing opportunities, or the UNT contact tracing process. Students with symptoms of COVID-19 can schedule an appointment for testing on the SHWC patient portal at myosh.unt.edu or by calling (940) 565-2333. The SHWC accepts many of the major commercial insurance carriers, and as always, will not turn away a student unable to pay for medically necessary services. Often results are available before a patient leaves the clinic.
