Dear UNT Community,
Our Mean Green football team will play in the inaugural Frisco Football Classic at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, and I hope you will join us in cheering the team to victory. Given our close proximity to Frisco's Toyota Stadium, we hope to fill the venue with green and white as we face off against Miami (Ohio) in a post-season bowl.
The UNT Alumni Association is hosting free Mean Green Fan Fest events for the entire UNT family, and I hope to see you there!
- Mean Green Fan Fest — Pre-Game Party: This free event hosted by the UNT Alumni Association will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at The Green Gator, 5566 Main St. #110 in Frisco. The Bird Dogs, the band of radio personality and UNT alumnus George Dunham, will play at 8:15 p.m., and Alumni Association members will receive a free drink ticket.
- Mean Green Fan Fest — Official Tailgate: A free tailgate featuring live music and family-friendly activities will be hosted by the UNT Alumni Association from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, in the Sienna South Blue Lot at Toyota Stadium. You are encouraged to bring chairs and your favorite tailgate food and beverages.
- Mean Green Fan Fest — Members-Only Terrace: UNT Alumni Association members are invited to an exclusive come-and-go gathering on the stadium's northeast terrace from 1 p.m. to the end of the third quarter. Game tickets are required and a special treat will be given to each Alumni Association member.
Grab your game tickets now, and make plans to join Scrappy, Green Brigade, North Texas Cheer, North Texas Dancers, Talons, and the UNT Alumni Association as we root for UNT. If you can't make it to Toyota Stadium, watch the game live on ESPN. Let's support the Mean Green as they close out the season!
UNT Proud,
Neal Smatresk
