For the safety and comfort of the Mean Green Community, metal detectors will be in place at all venue entrances, and security staff will strictly enforce the Clear Bag Policy. Staff will not hold or store items. Graduates and guests must return prohibited items to their vehicles.

PROHIBITED ITEMS: artificial noise makers (air horns, bullhorns, whistles, etc.); backpacks, bags, and purses that do not follow the Clear Bag Policy; balloons; banners; beach balls; bubbles; confetti/confetti cannons; coolers; flags; Frisbees/projectiles; glitter; laser pointers; pets (service animals permitted); pocketknives; selfie sticks; signs; silly string; smoking products (including vaping and chewing tobacco); tripods; glass or plastic vases; firearms or weapons of any kind.


APPROVED BAGS

  • Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12"W x 6"D x 12"H.
  • One-gallon resealable clear plastic freezer/storage bags.
  • Small clutch bags approximately the size of a hand (5.5"H x 8.5"W) or smaller, with or without a handle/strap.
  • Diaper bags with the accompanying child/infant and medical bags that contain health-necessary items are acceptable after proper inspection and approval from security personnel.

All other bags are prohibited when entering the venue.

 
Causing distractions that prevent others from hearing or viewing the ceremony, or exhibiting behavior that otherwise interferes with any aspect of the ceremony is not permitted. Individuals who engage in inappropriate or disrespectful behavior may be removed from the venue.
