Dear UNT Students,

As we look to UNT’s future, I envision our university community working together to establish UNT as a leading National Service University, dedicated to meeting our region’s, state’s, and nation’s educational and workforce needs through student success, high-impact programs, scholarship, and creative contributions of public value.

To help us achieve this vision, we began work this spring on the development of a five-year strategic plan, and I am inviting you to participate in one of six campus conversations starting April 10 so you can share ideas for our university’s future and learn more about the strategic plan. Our goal is to create a thoughtful and forward-looking plan to ensure UNT emerges as the educational leader shaping the North Texas region, the state, and nation.

UNT is very well positioned to innovate solutions that provide our students with the knowledge and experiences you need to thrive. UNT should be the launchpad to help you use your talents to transform your life and the lives of your families and communities. The value of your UNT education will only continue to grow, and your UNT degree will prepare you to live meaningful and purposeful lives.

This is a pivotal moment for UNT. I’m excited to continue our work to make UNT an even greater university that is distinguished for student success, and I look forward to what we will accomplish together.
