Dear UNT Community,

I am excited to arrive on the Denton campus this Thursday for my first official day as president! I look forward to joining this great university and working together toward a shared vision for the coming academic year and beyond.

As I step onto campus, I want to emphasize my commitment to our students’ success. Student success is more than just earning a degree. A UNT education should prepare today’s students as tomorrow’s leaders who will make a positive difference. Their UNT educations should provide strong foundations for pursuing their careers and leading productive and purposeful lives. Every UNT student should know we are committed to their long-term success.

As the Texas Commissioner of Higher Education, I saw UNT grow and advance its reputation as a Tier One research university committed to academic innovation. Now, I’m excited to join the UNT community as president, and I want to hear from you so we can work together to achieve even greater heights!

Please join me for a meet-and-greet breakfast Friday, Aug. 2, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Gateway Ballroom. I look forward to seeing you there and working together to advance UNT!

Go Mean Green!

Harrison Keller, Ph.D.
