Our students think of UNT as its own little town within Denton. The UNT campus is home to a thriving community waiting for you to join. From intramural sports to art festivals, live music, distinguished lectures and everything in between, there are literally thousands of events on campus each year.

Cheer on the Mean Green

Head to Apogee Stadium or one of our other athletic venues to cheer on our 16 NCAA Division 1 teams. And, there’s sure to be plenty to cheer for — Women’s Soccer, Men’s Basketball and Women’s Softball all recently won major championships.

UNT esports team

Level up

Check out our varsity esports teams on campus. Join a team, have fun — and you might even earn a scholarship while doing it. UNT’s esports program is recognized nationally in multiple areas. Our Rocket League team won first in the West Conference and top four in the nation, while Dylan Wray was ranked in the top 12 esports coaches and directors in the nation.

From archery to rugby, we’ve got the sport just for you! Try an intramural sport or one of our 45 club sports to get active and make friends.

Work it out

The amazing Pohl Rec Center is the best place to work off steam and stay active. Take on the 45-foot climbing wall, swim laps in the two pools or join a match in the indoor soccer gym. While you’re in the rec center, you can even sign up for camping, canoeing and hiking trips through the Outdoor Pursuits Center.

We have teams dedicated to our UNT family community from residence life, peer support, career prep and even adorable stress relief support through our therapy dogs!
