Request More InfoThe Spanish minor provides students the opportunity to achieve cultural and linguistic competency and complements many majors within the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences as well as other degree programs across the university. A minor in Spanish demonstrates to future employers and/or graduate schools that you have achieved a certain level of linguistic ability and understanding of Hispanic cultures.
The Spanish minor is designed to enable students to develop advanced Spanish skills in speaking, reading, and writing while acquiring a solid background in the complex history, literature, cultures, and intellectual traditions of Spain, Latin America, and the Latino US, as well as develop speaking skills in their field of expertise.
