Graduate Artist Certificate in Music Performance Courses You Could Take

Applied Lessons (16 hrs, 4 hrs per semester)
Private lessons in the major instrument or voice
Recitals (12 hrs, 3 hrs per semester)
Four full-length recitals are required, and will be adjudicated by at least three members of the applied music faculty to include 1) the major professor, 2) one member of the area faculty and 3) a member of the applied music faculty either from the area or from the applied faculty at large.
Chamber Music (2-4 hours)

  • String Chamber Music. 1 hour
  • Woodwind Chamber Music. 1 hour
  • Brass Chamber Music. 1 hour
  • Percussion Ensemble. 1 hour
  • Jazz Chamber Music. 1 hour
  • Collegium Singers. 1 hour
Laboratories (2-4 hours)

To be selected from:

  • Opera Theatre. 1 hour
  • Choir. 1 hour
  • Orchestra. 1 hour
  • Band. 1 hour
  • Jazz Lab Band. 1 hour
  • Accompanying. 1 hour
