Credits transfer easily from community colleges or other universities. Use the transfer tools to map your path to graduation.
Each UNT undergraduate degree has a Transfer Guide with a clear roadmap of courses to complete before transferring to UNT. The transfer guide outlines the recommended course sequence and identifies all courses with an equivalent Texas community college course number. Search for your intended major to get started on your transfer journey.
Use Transferology to determine how courses completed at another institution will transfer to UNT.
Transferology is an interactive tool to determine how courses completed at another institution will transfer to UNT. Create a Transferology account to learn how credits will apply to your UNT degree.
UNT awards credit for prior learning such as Advanced Placement (AP), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), military training, and select industry credentials. An evaluation of documented prior learning is required before credit is awarded. Please note, there may be limitations on the number and type of prior learning credit applied to degree requirements.
Transfer students with military or an applied associate degree may maximize prior learning through UNT’s Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science (B.A.A.S.) degree. The B.A.A.S accepts qualifying technical and prior learning credit to meet specified degree requirements. Email the B.A.A.S. program to get started.
When you apply for admission by the deadline, you are automatically considered for a merit scholarship for the Fall or Spring term.
These yearly scholarships require full-time enrollment and are renewable for up to
two academic years.
